finally got internet working!

i've FINALLY got my internet to work. sorry for the wait. i know a lot of you only look at the site for the links and could care less about my life and mental health. you guys can skip this.

so. news while i've been gone?

• the house nearly burned down twice. (one, a neighborhood kid lighting the lawn on fire, the other, my brother somehow blowing up the power line. including internet cable.)
  
• i cleaned my room. took me like forever.
  
• i painted my house
  
• i almost got cut out of the show for colorguard. But narrowly avoided it.
  
• Lesa, our guard advisor, actually COMPLIMENTED me. which is HUGE.
  
• I got my learner's permit! Took us 3 hours and I failed the test the first time. but darn right i got it!
  
• I canceled our beach camping reservations for the first week of school. :(
  
• I got our family business, her bright light, started.
  
• i lost my phone, but found it under the couch cushion.
  
• i ate an ice-cream sunday.
  
• my dog sighed loudly.
  
• ok. i'm done.

hurricane katrina: not gone yet!

my room looks like Katrina has gone through it. there is a pair of jeans hanging from the ceiling, 2 tee-shirts hanging from the curtain rod, which has gone wrong somewhere and is hanging at a horrendously crooked angle, there are 3 dead plants on the windowsill, some stray cat is living under the bed, the entire top of the dresser is soaked with water from who-knows-where, there are 800 bobby pins scattered across the nightstand among hair elastics and clasps, there are 25 items of dirty clothing piled up on my desk, the bamboo-circle curtain has pens, phone numbers, and choreography sheets stuck in it, numerous band cds are lying all over the floor, there are 4 apple cores, 6 half-eaten bags of pretzels, and 7 orange peels scattered across the rug, 3 empty glasses line the bookshelves, there is an unidentifiable purple stain on the carpet at the foot of the bed, tissue paper, tape, scissors, buttons, nail files, and tubes of super glue are shoved haphazardly on top of a chaotic pile of shoes, there are 3 items of clothing still hanging in the closet (the rest are on the floor, under the bed, on top of the bed, hanging from the ceiling or curtain rod, on the desk, or in the hamper) and I just found my cell phone in the overflowing trash can.
